How to hold money's importance and its pointlessness at the same time, without being owned by either.
Wisdom is the co-existence of contradictory truths, and money is the clearest example of this. We must internalize its importance while also recognizing its pointlessness. We must operate within the story of money while also understanding that it’s a fairy tale.
In reading this a few times, it has help me come to terms with not saving so much money some times and spend it on experiences. And also some times, it’s to not spend it on material things because it’s fleeting.
