Don't ruin the surprise with overviews or summaries
Give away the result first and the audience stops caring. Tell it beat by beat as it happened.
We have a tendency to start with the result of something before we get to how we got there in the first place. This always ruins the surprise because now the audience doesn’t have no interest in things anymore.
But it’s hard to re-tell a story of surprise because you are no longer surprised anymore. The best way to do this is just to tell the story beat by beat as it happened.
